I am honored to serve as the assistant principal at Bricker Elementary. It is a privilege to support our students, staff, and families in creating a positive and enriching learning environment.
I earned my bachelor's degree in music education from North Georgia College and began my educational journey teaching K-12 music, band and choir in New York and Germany. Over the years, I have also worked as a kindergarten paraprofessional, a substitute teacher, and a preschool teacher--experiences that have deepened my understanding of student needs at every level.
In 2009, I joined District 2 as the music teacher at Stratmoor Hills. Over the past 15 years, I've had the pleasure of serving the school and district in various capacities. During that time, I was honored to be recognized as a Distinguished Teacher and named Teacher of the Year at Stratmoor Hills in 2020.
I hold a masters' degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading endorsement, as well as a master's in Leadership from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. While at UCCS, I served as an adjunct professor, teaching music integration to elementary education undergraduates--an opportunity that allowed me to share my passion for creativity and connection in the classroom.
My husband and I have two wonderful sons. I enjoy music, dance, and spending time with my family.
I believe that the role of assistant principal is one of service. I am deeply committed to supporting students in all areas--not just academics--and strive to inspire every child to love learning and pursue their goals with confidence and curiosity.
